This is not an affiliate marketing gimmick, I am not reselling a course or product. I am simply trying to help you transform your knowledge into a digital product so you can help others and in turn, yes, make more money. So I guess yes, I am selling you a process that if you follow you can sell your creation and make money but I hate people thinking that I am another affiliate marketer. I took that course and it wasn’t for me. That’s when I knew I had to figure out my own process and path on this entrepreneurial journey. Introduction To The Framework
Anyway, let’s dig in, cause I know you’re here to learn the framework of how to start building your digital product business and I want to be able to get you as much information as I can in these 15 minutes. I am also going to put together a list of chatGPT prompts to help you work through and clarify these points. I will leave that link in the show notes. Make sure you click and download that so that you have something to reference and build off of later.
Alright, so you are ready to start exploring this idea of digital products, but there are a few things you need to pin down first.
Those would be the WHO, WHAT, WHERE, and HOW
Step 1: The Who
Who is your niche, or your audience? Who are you helping? The key here is to paint a picture similar to when you do your vision exercises. You want to know everything about this person. How old they are. Are they a man or female? Do they have kids? What is their job, What do they do for fun, What are they struggling with, or what are their pain points? Why would they want to use your product? How much time do they have?
Getting very detailed in this work is important and will save you time later because the clearer you are the better off you will be.
The hardest part of niching down that a lot of us struggle with is the fear of niching too much. The truth is when you bait your hook for a specific fish, you’re likely to catch more of the fish you want. If you bait for every fish, you’re likely to have a few that you need to throw back.
Is this bad that I am referring to all of you as fish….. Maybe a bad analogy but you get the point.
So focus and commit to a niche that feels specific and that you are connected with.
Step 2: The What
Now on to the What.
What is the problem you will be solving? So think back to your exercise of your niche, what are the problems that they suffer from? Do they need more help getting to point B from A? Where does your knowledge come into play? How can you help them solve that problem?
This will turn into an I help statement and I will share a CHAT GPT prompt that will help you build a great I help statement.
Here for example is my I help…
“I help healthcare moms turn their passions into profitable digital products so they can escape the paycheck-to-paycheck cycle, earn more money while working less, and finally have the time and flexibility to focus on what matters most to them”
When you develop this I help statement It’s a great tool to use when confirming if your content or your product is going to serve your audience. You can go back and reference this I help statement often.
Step 3: The Where
The where is a simpler question, you just need to decide where your niche hangs out, are you going to present your products on Instagram, or YouTube? Also, this is a little bit of a learning curve. Just choose one for now, I would suggest Instagram, It is a familiar platform, and then as you grow and learn more about your niche you can branch out to other places.
Your action step here is just to pick one platform and focus on reaching your audience here. I go into more detail in the Cheatsheet guide.
Step 4: The How
How is the product? Think about what you are teaching and what your niche needs, also this is where that time question comes in. So you could create a workbook, or ebook which is just a longer format per se. You could create a course. You could create a membership like this. Really whatever you feel called to create you can create, this is why I love digital products. Right now I am in the process of creating templates for those who join the biz builder membership. These would be an easy plug-and-go format for things like ebooks and workbooks, checklists, etc.

So now you have the basics of getting started let’s talk about how the membership can help you.
A word of caution, I muscled on for a long time before I joined my own membership and I regret not having that community. You simply save a ton of time by learning from others doing it rather than trial and error by yourself.
