I am so guilty of this and know many of you are too. We can blame it on ADHD or maybe just on the lack of time.
But staying patient and trusting in our vision can take a lot of willpower.
When it comes to big goals you’re setting for yourself, do you ever find that you will start to feel anxious when you’re not seeing results right away?
I do this all the time and sometimes I even pull the plug on something prematurely because I am anxious to see it work and my fear gets the best of me.
In today’s episode, I am going to share with you how I refuel and strengthen my beliefs to keep the dream alive.

Hello again, My name is Kate Avery and if you’re new here, just a little background info for you, I have been a Nurse since 2015, I’m a mother of 3, I’m an entrepreneur coach, and so much more.
Over the last few years, I started to notice how nursing was not fitting the needs of my growing family. So I decided enough was enough and I embarked on this journey to find a better way.
This has included countless self-help books, multiple courses, and a deep dive into figuring out what the heck I wanted.
Now, I started this podcast to inspire and motivate you, if you also feel the burnout of nursing while supporting a growing family. Then you’re in the right place.
Let’s build our dream life together. Every week I share my adventures and I share hard lessons I have learned along the way. Make sure you follow the podcast and download the episodes every Friday, you can also follow me on Instagram at Inspirern.
In the next few weeks, I will be sending out invitations to come to my action board party. This is a free workshop where we will create a vision for 2025, set some goals, and finally create that action board that fuels our dreams.
I am so very excited because for this party because there is nothing like a fresh dream session. Dreaming is my all-time favorite thing to do.
So it is very simple to join you just need to be on my email list and I will send you an invite. As easy as that
An action board is just one of the many ways that I refuel my passion and fight that fear of failure. When progress is slow, it is very easy to let that voice creep in and make you question your why. So we need to build some superpowers into your why.
When you’re working on a dream that seems so far away there are a few things that I like to do to refocus my mind and keep my eye on the prize, so to speak.
Zooming Out
Have you found yourself caught up in the emotion of the moment, and let’s say you blow a situation way out of proportion?
When you’re able to regain your emotions and calm yourself down, the situation often seems so clear and you may feel a little embarrassed for letting your emotions drive you.
This is the essence of zooming out. When you’re working on your big goals, you can start to feel down and defeated when things are not going well. It’s helpful to calm your body and refocus on what is the reality of the situation.
Take a few deep breaths. Pinpoint the fears that are coming up for you. Write them down in your journal and just take your time disproving them. Look at the reality of it all.
Here is a common situation to explain what I mean.
You’re anxious about not having any sales yet. Okay. Let’s look at what is going right and maybe we will find a new point of view to approach and increase your sales.
What have you done beautifully in your business? Is your email list growing? Do you have clients asking about what you do? All of these little things add up to big sales. So stay the course and trust the process. Believe in yourself and your vision.
If you are feeling less than enthused with your vision right now. Grab my Free vision builder workbook and work the steps to building a vision that is truly aligned with your dreams.

Maybe Your Vision Seems Too Far Away?
Let’s imagine this, One day you’re walking down the street and you see a couple looking at million-dollar homes. At this time you live in your parent’s basement. This couple seems crazy right, a million-dollar home, how outlandish.
Now, in a year you’re walking down the street and you see the same situation. Cute couple looking at million-dollar homes. But now you own your own home. It may still seem outlandish but it’s plausible now, right?
This is the same idea I have for you. When you build your vision sometimes it can be a huge dream and it can feel difficult to imagine that dream becoming a reality.
If you have built your dream and the doubt is starting to set in. I want you to break that dream down. Maybe create an action board for a year or do what I do and set an action board for quarterly progress.
I still make these boards outlandish but they are pushing me to achieve more in a short period of time.
Here is an example of my current quarterly action board. It includes date nights, a fit woman running (I am training for a run Disney event), A woman speaking at a live event, a new car, and women traveling. All things that I can make a reality right now and will contribute to the bigger vision.
The key to this exercise is to get you fired up again and ready to take action. Not to become overwhelmed and create more reasons to freeze.
When in Doubt Journal It Out
You knew it was coming. Journaling is my favorite activity.
I love to use journaling as a way to create my vision. When I start to feel fearful of my progress or just unfocused. I find it extremely helpful to just journal about the future. I will simply just write. No agenda or plan is needed. I can write from a place of the future or even just freely be open about what I want to accomplish and see in my future.
So I dare you to sit down and just journal today. Write about anything and everything you want. How amazing it has been to accomplish what you have so far. Thank your higher power for the guidance and let the dreams pour out of you.
A new favorite journal prompt of mine is to think about what I want my days to be like and see if there is something I can do today that will replicate that day. It makes me feel like I have arrived and it’s empowering.
Let Go and Have Some Fun
When was the last time you just had some fun? No itinerary or plan. Just went with the flow and enjoyed yourself?
For me unfortunately I realized it had been way too long. So here is the new plan I am trying out.
This is a large side note but I am really into astrology and human design. The more I learn about myself, the key to my happiness and prosperity all lies within my flow and having fun. I am not good at no plan. I need that control so I will be working on relaxing and trusting in the flow.
If you also feel like you need to hold on to every piece, or it will all come falling down. I challenge you to do the same.
A great way to reignite your passion and excitement in business specifically is to let the fun back in.
If there is something that is making you feel stuck, maybe it’s an offer that you feel just won’t work or isn’t working out. Try zooming out and taking a break. Let your mind reset. Then come back and look at it with a sense of enjoyment. What would make this offer more fun?
Actually, this is how I created the action board party. I was struggling to bring offers to the table. It’s a whole limit thing I am working on but I love a good vision. I love dreaming and so this action party is more of a fun way to connect with all of you and be helpful at the same time.
So I invite you to join me. All you need to do to get on the invite list is to be on my email list. So head over to inspirern.com and enter your info at the top of the page. If you explore a little, a pop-up will also come up and you can add your information there as well. I will send out invited on Jan 6th and the party will be on Jan 15th. So make sure you are subscribed by then.
