Passion for Profit
Turning your passion into profit is possible if you allow it.
Oprah Winfrey said that passion is energy.
I wholeheartedly agree with that.
We all have a passion, a talent that lights us up. Something that makes us feel alive. That certain thing, that when you’re doing it, you lose track of time. This Passion often refuels us, instead of draining us.
Think about a topic that you can’t stop talking about. Or how about something that everyone in the unit recommends you as the go-to person to talk to about? For example, I am the go-to Disney planner in my unit.
You CAN Make Money with Your Passion
I come from an era where making art was silly because you couldn’t possibly make a living doing that, so art school was discouraged. Does anyone else come from this logical nonsense era?
For the longest time, I bought into the story that you can never make any money at your passions. I went into nursing because it was stable. It’s a guarantee. No, nursing is not my passion, helping those in need does make me feel fulfilled.
On the other hand, I get excited to teach people and I love sharing new insights. I love to see people win and see that look on their faces when they have accomplished something they didn’t think they could do.
This story of not being able to make money with your passions is false. More than ever, having a passion for your work allows others to feel your excitement and energy. In my experience, this energy sells more than any sales tactic.
Let’s Visualize This
I want you to imagine what it would feel like to make money doing what you love. Ignore that voice that keeps reminding you that’s not possible. It’s just your ego trying to keep you safe and secure. That’s its job.
Explore what that work looks like. What does your day look like? Where do you work? What do you wear at work? What are your hours? Take a few minutes to think about this, and visualize being in this world.
Now what passion did you pick?
These are the passions that can be turned into a profitable business.
What I think is so important about the transition of passion into a business, I am going to be very honest here with you, Building a business in the first few years is hard. It takes a lot of learning and believing in yourself. When you are building a business around a passion, It gives you the will to keep moving, it gives you more fuel for the fire.
My action step for you in this section is to pick a passion that you want to explore and see if you can make this into a business. Are there others out there doing it? Do not put a ton of pressure on yourself. It’s fine, explore a few. I just want you to start getting curious.
Profitable Coaching Niches

In the world today, with social media and access to education, there is no reason that you have to stay stuck in the job you have now. I understand you have families and bills, life doesn’t stop just because you hate your job.
I do want to call BS though. The story I shared last week about the sacrifices I made to put more time into my business. I traded in my new car for an older one, I pulled the kids from our local daycare, I set a budget and we live by this religiously to survive. But I have a dream and I know I can make this business into that dream.
I Believe in Taking Risks on Myself.
This journey started because I knew that the life I had built was not the life I wanted. I didn’t see the circumstances I wanted, so I am creating them.
I want to remind you that if you want what others have, that group of the 1% then you will need to do something different. You can’t be like everyone else and achieve your goals. If that was the case then you would have already done it by now.
So I urge you to take risk, bet on yourself.
I did some research and I want to share some of the top coaching niches.
Disclaimer, I don’t like the work coach, I like to use the word mentor. Coaching is just a general term for teaching others something. I bet you if you researched your passions you could find something teaching that to others.
The top niches are fitness and nutrition, I feel like that is very popular. There is life coaching, helping others set goals, and achieve specific outcomes, mindset coaching, etc. Then you have Business coaching and entrepreneurship types mentors. But then it can get very specific like parenting, finances, singing, you think of it and you can coach someone on it.
I share these so that you can see that any passion can be turned into a business, once you finish here go and research. Look for these coaches. See what they sell, and who they are selling it to. Then think about how your story is different from theirs, and how are you unique in what you teach.
Profitable Digital Products
Once you start researching you will notice that in general, these coaches offer similar products.
This is why I love digital products, you can create anything. There are your standard PDFs, workbooks, cheatsheets, checklists, and Doc-type products. You can also create a course with video modules and support docs. Audio recordings are another addition to digital products that you can sell.
You get to be unlimited when you’re creating products. If your audience wants it and it solves there problem quickly. You will have no issues selling.
I am not going to be like all the others out there and tell you that selling a digital product is quick and easy. It takes time to build your audience and get them used to being sold to.
