What’s up Queen,
My name is Kate, I am a Nurse, Mom, Wife, and Entrepreneur.
I have been a nurse since 2015. My experience ranges anywhere from ICU to IR.
I understand where you’re coming from, and I’ve been there before. I was that burned-out, overworked, stressed-out, overstimulated woman who knew she wanted something different. But what the hell do ya do?
At first, I thought the answer was to go back to school. And I did.
However, after almost completing my DFNP, I realized I needed to do some inner work. After pouring myself into everything self-development, I finally figured it out.
This podcast and site are the fruits of all my labors. I must share what I have found with other women who are feeling the same way I was.
My promise is to always inspire and motivate you to reach for more. Listen to “you” and what “you” is saying.
You did not waste your time. You are right where you should be. Right now is perfect.
Let’s get down to business, how are you going to set yourself up for success in 2024? I have a few New Years rituals that I know set me up for success and allow me to continue to manifest the dream life that I desire.
Rituals To Bring In The New Year
In the Last Episode I talked about goal setting and knowing your why or your vision that you want to work towards. In this episode, I am going to talk about rituals to help set you up for success.
May I remind you it’s only 10% of the actual work and 80% mindset. So let’s get that 80% focused on success and make sure you have everything you need in 2024.
If you have not already I want you to go back and listen to episode 15, then I want you to get a clear picture of what you want to see in the new year. And I want you to keep letting the universe bring opportunities to you and just stay open to it. It may take a few mornings of journal sessions to get clear but stay persistent until you finally feel a “Yes”.
Trust The process
From this vision for that next year, You will pick one big goal you want to chase down. Take the time to research how to get this done and then create your 10 goals that will help you get those tasks done. Now write down the 10 goals. I wrote down 10 for the first quarter but I want you to feel supported and energized by these goals so if making goals for the first quarter is scary make them for the year.
OK, so we have a vision ✔️ and we have our goals ✔️.
Let’s make sure you create goals that are actionable, measurable, and have a timeframe. You don’t have all year to get your life moving.
Add those details to the end of the goal statements.
Remember: Smart goals are specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound.
Prepare The Others To Watch Your Success
Ritual 1; Setting Intentions
Setting intentions is the goal of ritual 1. If you need to change the language around goals and make it into intention these shifts in language may be just the thing you need to refuel your power over the goals. I don’t want you to have any negative or traumatic feelings about the goals. I feel that language can be all the difference between “failure” of goals (I hate using this because you not failing, you are learning a new path to the goal and pivoting your approach).
Ritual 2; Cleanse Your Space
Brining in the new year is important to cleanse both your space and you. Physically cleaning or using sage to clear the energy of the space can bring a calm and new beginning feel as you start this year off on the right foot. Doing the same for yourself by clearing out old stories and letting go of any resentment or anger from the past year.
When I have a clean home I feel like there is less noise to interfere with my inner talk. Less on the to-do list. Follow how you feel, there are a lot of sayings that cleaning on new years day will get rid of the luck. I always say trust your gut and if your body is screaming at you to clean up the mess, you better listen.
Sage: Sage is a great way to bring positive energy into the space and make sure that you do this frequently. I like to do it when I feel like I am stuck in a bad mood or just feeling very negative about something. Sage helps me move the energy and start fresh.
Ritual 3; Journaling
Journaling about what you are letting go of and no longer taking with you in 2024 can be a powerful release. When those things come back up in 2024 just remind yourself that you are not having that energy near you anymore. Use this opportunity to shift into a positive thought pattern.
Example: “My worthiness is not how much or how good I am at something”
Again, journaling and aligning yourself with what you want to come in this next year is a potent tool. Sit with this and let yourself feel this. Feel the feelings of it already being yours. This is a sneak peek into manifesting, which you can find out more about here.
Ritual 4; Moon Water
Oh yes, I did this this year. I also ate all the grapes. so watch out world this witch is climbing up. Moon water is so easy to make but you will want to know a few things first. Research the cycle of the moon and what the meaning behind it is. If you feel that your intentions are aligned with this. You simply place a glass or jar outside with filtered water in it. Make sure it is in the light of the moon. The goal is for the water to absorb the energy of the moon. You will place intentions on this water and use it for whatever you would like. I drank mine to start the new year. placing intentions of expansion and growth in this business.
I am so thankful for you and I will see you every Friday for another episode of The Inspire RN Podcast.
